Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that the attacks on Iran were carried out due to new developments in Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
In an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu said the decision to act came after, according to him, Iran had begun building new facilities, including underground bunkers.
“The reason we had to act now is because, after we hit their nuclear facilities and their ballistic missile program… they started building new facilities… underground bunkers that would make their ballistic missile program and their atomic bomb program immune to interference within a few months,”Netanyahu said.
He emphasized that, according to the assessment of the Israeli authorities, the delay in intervention would make it impossible to curb these programs in the future.
